Well, it's hard to believe, :shock: but it's that time again to start hollering for help!!
The 2011 Arkansas Canoe Club Whitewater School (a/k/a Canoe School) is slated for the weekend of April 29, 30 and May 1.The number of volunteers over the next few weeks will determine the number and type of classes that we will be able to offer, so we really need to have the staff lined up by the 1st of March. If you are interested in helping instruct or running sweep for a class, please e-mail Marc at marcvc@ritternet.com. Not all the staff needs to be an ACA certified instructor, but we will need to put one ACA certified instructor with each class. And, all staff really should have significant rescue experience on class II and above. We need and truly appreciate all the experienced paddlers we can get!!
If you have someone you want to team up with to teach, let us know that. That was extremely helpful last year, and since we will be taking on that area this year, it would really be great to pair up instructors to the best extent possible. We are still winging our way through a lot of this, so we need all the assistance we can use!

Also, if you are an ACA member, we will need your ACA number. If this is your first time to help, please give us a brief summary of your paddling experience, if you canoe or kayak or both, and any experience you might have in teaching paddling.
