Edgar,
The ducks with the red eyes are all American Coots. They are the lowly crow/blackbird types of the waterfowl world. Coots can't fly very well and are usually found in bigger groups. Eagles love 'em!!!
The Northern Shovelers (a.k.a-Spoonbills or Bootlips) are fairly common and considered one of the least desirable as far as tablefare goes. The drake pictured isn't fully plumed yet but they can get pretty striking when they are.
