I'm spending some time in Colorado and wanted to share this...here is the VERY headwaters of the Arkansas River ..this is outside Leadville CO.
Here is the actual river !
Still this got me...it has a gauge on it

Hard to believe the muddy Arkansas is a snow melt driven stream up top!

Yeah, good photos, Mark. And Paddledog, have seen that vid before, but watched it again. Best vid I've seen of Lake. Sure would like to paddle at that level but don't see it happening living in OK.

I stopped with a young lady one time and scrambled down to take a running jump over the Arkansas R. there one afternoon between creeks. Just so I could say I jumped over the Arkansas R. :-)
