lake ouachita eagle survey

I was with the Army Corp of Engineers Rangers for this years eagle survey on Lake Ouachita monday 01-18-2011. The count was forty five. I covered the south shores from Spillway to Thompkins bend and counted 22. Low ceilings kept the birds low or we wouldn't have seen the numbers we did.
The birds were most numerous in the Tompkins bend area and Mountain Harbor. The low levels of the lake made access to some ares in pollard creek to dangerous to survey
