This is a really nice place to watch birds and beavers. Floated 6 miles saturday putting on the water at about 0930 . Started out chilly but the sun came out about 1100 and turned out to be nice and warm.
A baldy flew by while launching and saw lots of wood ducks at a distance.
Woodies aren't like mallards and seem to know they are at the bottom of the food chain. Getting close is a slow process.
The resident beaver made his presence known by tail slapping and letting us know who's house we were in.
Lots of great blues and gulls, geese and kingfishers. Red tail hawks where being harrassed by crows and blue jays.
