This is the multi state forum for canoe, kayak, raft boaters. Recreational and White Water. Just monitor this board and chime in.

EDIT: Are you the same person selling your kayak? Or do you have multiple boats?

Ginger,

Welcome to the club! I am certain you will meet nice folks and have some good paddling opportunities as time goes on. If you're new to kayaking, then many of the posts on the 'Recreational' page may be of interest. Please tell us what kayak you have, gear, etc. and if you wish, more about your interests.
Since you live in L.R., please consider attending the Central Chapter meeting at 'The Oyster Bar' on Markham St. on the 23rd. It's a great way to meet fellow paddlers. Just see David Mac's post on the meeting, Margret's presentation should be wonderful. Just ask if you should need directions.

Best Regards
Jim

Welcome to the sport! I agree with Jim's recommendation about attending the Central Chapter Meeting on the 23rd. There, you can visit with experienced paddlers of all genre about the best way for you to get experience safely as you move towards proficiency in the kind of paddling you think you's most enjoy! Also, check out the Events section to see when appropriate classes will be offered. You're in luck! ACC provides good training that can really increase your competency quickly! We hope to see you next Tuesday about 7 at the Oyster Bar on Markham! crane
