Re: Monte Ne
Depends on what you call exposed. The lake now is at 1116.2 feet of elevation above sea level.
At this level, the basement rooms of the old Oklahoma Row are exposed, but the ampitheater across the cove is still underwater with only the top caps of the highest "posts" showing. Foundations of 4 buildings on the southern side of the cove, over where the train depot for the Monte Ne short line used to be are exposed. All of the foundations for the Missouri Row are exposed and most of the foundation wall of the Hotel Monte Ne is exposed.
I live across the street (Highway 94SPUR) from the tower of Monte Ne, and go paddleing on the lake a few times a week in sea kayaks. If you are interested in going out with someone to see them, send me a PM. Susan and I also have a couple of books on Monte Ne, and old postcards of the area, and have links to some internet sites on the area and "Coin Harvey", the founder/developer of the area.
