You lucky dog, Clif!!

Shouldn't be that bad of an alternative weekend to not be able to go paddleing Clif, especially as they are not calling for any rain between now and then.
Given the constant rate of fall in the gauge, I predict 2.60 - 2.55 for the river level next weekend at HW 14 bridge. Lowest I've ever run it was 2.58, and it was get out and drag 12 times, but still passable even with camping gear if you do not mind some walking. Might be incentive to pack light for a change, not that I know how to go there.
I hope to have another vehicle running with racks by then, but may not. Depends on a lot of things right now. Will post what to look for If I get a new to me shuttle car.
Eric
I'm actually trying to make it rain by making such a prediction and being vehicleless.

Wildwood,
I share your concern re:coffee.
The easiest thing to do is buy the individual bags of coffee which amounts to one cup of slightly weak java ...to me anyway. Having spent the last two weeks drinking my cowboy coffee swill, I was wishing for a box of Starbucks bags. All ya need is something to boil water with and in.
Now, about getting a camp cappucino machine....

Richard, Earl here. Hope to go Buffalo ON on 8-10 Oct. Should know tomorrow if I can fit it in. Should be a good time and I have a new-to-me solo canoe to check out.

Well, there was a change in the wind and I am back in Arkansas. Weather forecast is not looking good for paddling so unless you enjoy pulling your boat over rocks, this weekend is a NO GO. We will try it again in a few weeks . In the meantime, just because we have not planned a float does not mean you can not go on your own.
