Salvaged damage kayak on mulberry

Post by miguel » Fri Sep 17, 2010 12:41 pm

A friend and I struggled to unwrap a plastic kayak on mulberry mon the 13th. I returned with it to Fayetteville after unbending it. It should be repairable all is not lost. Please identify and be willing to donate a modest rescue fee. It was not easy

Does that permit sticker have a permit # on it? I think the year I got one of those for lake paddling I had to fill out a registration form and all. So maybe either at Lake Fayetteville or Lake Sequoyah (the two places where you can get them) they have a record to cross check?

Kind of you to rescue that boat.

Miguel do you still have this boat? Oddly enough I was just talking to a friend who was on the outing where it got wrapped ... if it is the same boat. Did it have a GPS unit inside?

Hey, that is terrific news! It is my kayak, 12foot red wilderness pungo 120 with a couple of dry bags, etc. Will be happy to pay modest salvage. I have not been able to return to the area with help to retrieve it.

email me at akpeace@yahoo.com and I'll arrange to pick up the salvage. I really appreciate your effort in retrieving it.

Very timely, just got back from vacation, first thing I checked was this page. A personal email has been sent, I knew this forum would spread the word.
