I bought 3 Old Town Vapors at OOO this spring. I am/was a beginner, just started last summer. I think the Vapors have lots of stability for someone just getting started. Kinda like barges. I like the paddle holder, it makes tying the kayak on your rack so easy. I've had mine on the Buffalo, Kings, White, Arkansas, Spring, Big Piney, Cadron---all with no problems. One of them flew out of the back of my sons truck on a gravel road, it only suffered a few scratches. Last week I took my grandson floating for the first time, on Little Red, below the dam to Bartlet Park. He now owns an Old Town Vapor 10. The seat in my Vapor is more comfortable than the seat in my Liquid Logic Remix XP10. They track really well.

PainterBob is correct, but they sure a lot of fun for the money.

Happy paddling!

They are great for fishing. The first time I fished from my Vapor, I caught the biggest crappie I have ever caught. (Cricket Creek Park @ the MO/AR line on 65) Good stability.
