Hometown Throwdown #3

Post by Jeremy M » Mon Aug 09, 2010 1:37 pm

Hey There Folks....Guess What? Its time again for Hometown Throwdown, that's what!

This Saturday, August 14th at Rockport Ledge at 2:30 p.m. Hometown Throwdown #3 will kick off.

Again there will be plenty of music, fun, prizes, and MONSTER ENGERGY!!!

For HTTD #3 we're gonna try out a new format for the rodeo. JAM SESSION. There will be two qualifying heats and one final heat. Each heat will last 20 minutes. Each participants ride will last a max of 60 seconds or until you flush out. You'll be scored by the judges for each ride and you'll get to keep your top 2 scores. The top 3 from each heat will move on to the final round which will be the same format.

This format will a be a bit more difficult for the judges and time keepers, but will definitely let the participants loosen up and throw their biggest tricks without fear of running out of time for one single run.

I will need 4 volunteers for judges and one volunteer as a time keeper.

Hope to see everyone out this Saturday for HOMETOWN THROWDOWN #3 brought to you by worldkayak.com, Monster Energy and Ouachita Outdoor Outfitters!

Hey Jeremy,

Since I'll still be sidelined, I'm planning to be there to take pics, and I'm sure I could manage to be timekeeper, too.

That is, unless you plan to have a 1-arm division, in which case, I'm ALL OVER THAT!

Nah, on second thought I'm pretty sure my PT would prefer I just take pics.

Teehee, Heather is henceforth known as "Zeitgeber". Or...Hier ist/sind Zeitgeber....if you happen to be introducing her.

Some fine surfin' was on display. Kudos to Jeremy, Travis and OOO for hosting another awesome event for the paddling community!!!

Apparently my previous link didn't work, but I got some FB tutorial tonight at dinner, so here's another attempt:

There's some folks I don't know who I have pics for and wanted to share...

Cheers,
Heather

 well, pooh - that looks like the same link as before. Could someone who is not my friend on FB tell me if it works?!?

Works here. Slow old computer on dial up. Just takes a minute or two.

I'm new to ACC. Just joined a week or so ago. I was at this event and surf and turf. Everyone at both events was nice to me and answered all my dumb questions. I might bring my 5 year old with me next time.
