With the Solo 14 being wider at both the gunwale line and the water line, the Solo makes for a more stable fishing platform. In addition, the Solo 14 has only 1" of rocker compared to the Rendezvous' 2 1/2". This will allow the Solo 14 more stability and to track a little better in those fishing pools. However with the additional rocker the Rendezvous may turn a little easier than the Solo. I say may because the Rendezvous is 20" longer than the Solo 14 and the added length will hinder it's turning capabilities a little. The Rendezvous is geared more toward tackling more aggressive whitewater than the Solo. Mohawk's Odyssey 15 would be a more comparable boat to the Wenonah Rendezvous. My advice would be to
try before you buy. With that in mind, I'll be at the ACC's Rendezvous, not Wenonah's Rendezvous-hehe, with a Solo 14, an Odyssey 15 and many other boats for you guys and gals to demo. Hope to see you there! RENDEZVOUS!

Myself and my wife both have Ultimate 12's and we can be found many a weekend floating and fishing below Beaver Dam. Very Very stable and the comfort and room in these are unsurpassed. Room for a small child or you dog if the need is there. Best seats ever for a Kayak!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the replies, I ended up buying a Commander 120 and I love it. Great fishing rig.
