Last night was one of the nights for the meteors shower, Carrie and I discussed where the best place to go watch them, and remember another post here on the boards, a Canoe trip on the lake sounded like a great idea. So we loaded the canoe and drove to Lake Greason, unloaded the canoe and put her in the water, Carrie was sitting in the canoe and I was about to get in when I said, Oops I forgot something, I went back to the car and got her paddle out, walked down and handed it to her with the side that said Carrie on it facing up. She said "oohh how nice, you got a paddle with my name on it..." then she flipped it over and it said "Will You Marry Me" on it.

And she gasped and started to cry, and I went down on one knee half in the water and took her ring out of my pocket and held it out for her and asked her to marry me... after a slight pause and a huge hug, she said YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

So after a few hugs and kisses we launched the canoe and watched some meteors, and looked at some stars and then came home for the night!

perfect night, perfect canoe trip!

good paddling
