The Arkansas Canoe Club is planning an American Canoe Association Advanced Swiftwater Rescue Instructor certification workshop for this fall. The dates and location for the Development Workshop are October 22-24 at the Spring River. For the Certification Exam the dates and location are November 5-7 at Couchdale/Rockport. The cost is $400 for the workshops ($200 each). This does not cover your lodging, travel or ACA membership fees. September 1 is the deadline for registration and will be limited to the first 10 that sign up and pay the fee.
Being an instructor is a great way to give back to the sport that you love. This is a great opportunity made possible by the Arkansas Canoe Club to take part in the training at a very low cost, at home, and with great support from a local staff.
