The joyous little window for July paddling of the Upper Buffalo has now closed, so you'll probably be looking to put in no higher than Pruitt. If you are shooting for Pruitt just be aware that Buffalo River Canoes (the closest outfitter to the Pruitt put-in) closed for the season and did NOT reopen even though the water came up. Learned that the hard way driving over their for a shuttle a few days ago.

Thanks I was wondering why they did not answer or call back. Wish I could just shutdown for the summer. I think we will do TB to Gilbert

Yeah, I'm a real regular user of those guys and like them but neither website nor voicemail or anything let on that they'd be closed, so I did grumble a bit when driving all the way back to Ponca to arrange a shuttle.
