Well we have no photos, no big carnage tales, just incredibly perfect weather, water, and camping out in CO for the past few days. Went with Lew McCann from MO and hooked up with James W from Golden to get on the Poudre Fri and Sat. Narrows was running perfect level (for mere mortals like me at least!) and Mish and Poudre Park section was low, which means it was about like running Richland at 4.0. :-)
And then we caught Bailey at 450 cfs. It surely doesn't get any better than that! I had my first roll on Bailey in 6 trips in the big hole at S-Turn, which was rockin. Took a bit of a thumping while trying to locate my combat roll. Finally found it and rolled up against a big chunk of granite. (I've only been in my creek boat a few days in the past 9 months and it showed - I gotta get this KC crew playing some boatball...) The long stretches of wild water whizzed by us and then our talk of finally running all of Super Max was again reduced to just talk by the sight of the rapid. After more endless class 4 boogie water and a crankin Deer Creek rapid, we paddled the swirlies in the magical pink canyon and out to face the long drive back home. It surely doesn't get any better than that.
A great weekend of boating that reminded me that the ONLY good thing, whitewater-wise, about moving to KC is being 3.5 hours closer to the front range. :)

Fish is moving to Ft Collins. Excellent. Buy a five bedroom place. You're bound to get visitors. When are you moving?
Re: Team Stupid weekend in Colorado
That would be a cool move indeed. Unfortunately, the only person I knew in Ft. Collins moved, so I'm looking for another crash pad there again. If anyone wants to follow Kurt's plan, I'll be one of the visitors.
