Paddling in Mississippi

I had a new place to explore today near Waterford, Ms and I wanted to share a couple pics. I've been to Spring River a few times lately and it still seems so alien to me.

I grew up in cypress and gum swamps. They are full of life however, I'll have to admit to loving the paddling up here more. Did you see any wood ducks?

I always see lots of wood ducks. I saw several flavors of herons, bitterns, and egrets....I also saw a kingfisher catch a fish close to me.
