Lee Creek today.

Post by ebell » Fri Jul 09, 2010 1:43 pm

Looks like some heavy rain fell in the area. By the time the guage shows it running it may be gone.

Does anyone close to it care to predict if its a go today.

Ozark Creek is showing a level of 3.45 and American Whitewater has a more current posting with a level of 3.89. Radar shows rain over the watershed. I hope it rains enough to bring Lee up to 4.5. That would definitely make it a drive worthy paddle for me.
Paddle on,

Ozark Creek Info is now showing a level of 3.39 for Lee. I think I'm going to save my gas $ and go to the Hometown Throwdown #2 at the Ouachita River Whitewater Park tomorrow.
Paddle on,

Google Earth is showing big rains on Fall Creek (4" on Fall) and Blackburn (2.5-4"), both of which run into Lee.

I'm thinking it is most definitely going to be maybe runnable.

Oh well, It's Friday afternoon in mid-July...

Heading out around 5:00, call if you want to hook up.

I looked at the rainfall before lunch and saw 5 inches rainfall total since wed.

I know for certain that 3 of those came yesterday as Jermdog and I got a run on hogeye. In about 10 minutes the water level went from rockin' to knuckle draggin' rocks.

I have not seen rainfal since noon, but would be suprised if Lee is still a goin. I can't go paddle anyway but I hope I'm wrong, and hope ya'll have fun.

let me know either way.

Thanks for the info Half Ton. I had just gotten back in town today and didn't know where the rain had fallen from earlier, could have used that info a little bit earlier :hammer: :lol:

It definitely was not there, I should have brought my fishing pole.
