The cove at Monte Ne along HW 94SPUR aka New Hope Road is a free landing and does not have much if any traffic on it usually at my end, particularly if you just paddle down a hundred yards towards the end of the cove. I could come up with a set of floats if you give me a little notice, and might even come up with a non regulation mini basketball that plays real well. This location also has the advantage of not having the sun in your eyes, and being close to my house with bathrooms, kitchen, screened in porch, Fridge, etc. With a new well pump and motor, unlimited showers, but my towels run out after about 10. If you want to do a cookout afterwards, I'll contribute the charcoal and starter for my 6 foot drop box smoker/grill, and we have a considerable number of condiments on hand. Got coolers for your ice and liquid refreshements.

With my neck, I really can not play boat ball now, but I could loan a boat and gear for anyone who do not have time to haul their gear here.

Just offering and maybe suggesting.

There is no lake access fee (ie, free) at Blue Springs or Monte Ne.

I agree with Eric that Monte Ne would be perfect for boatball, but would be a long drive for most of our regulars except for myself & Ryan (middle one). Also there is the bonus of Eric's kind offer & we might even get Mike Waggoner out to play.

You guys know I live to play boatball so I would be willing to drive south to Blue Springs. (but just not this coming Tuesday) My guess is it would take me 35-45 minutes from Rogers with the traffic so about the same as West Fork for me. I'll go with whatever the group decides.

The Corp of Engineers charges lake access fee of $4 per car for currently maintained parks. I've attached a PDF file of map of Beaver Lake with info. The key at bottom of map shows parks in dark red that charge a fee. I also checked they don't offer any discounts for non-profit clubs.

Sorry guys I highly doubt I'll be there tuesday, but I do have an extra set of gear at my house. I may not be ready to come back from Colorado by then.

I won't be there either, unless I find a sitter again.

The spot near the Hwy 412 bridge east of Springdale, not Blue Springs, is a boat ramp with a relatively large parking area. It is not a maintained park and has no fees for use. That is where Sparky takes his sunset paddlers. There is a sign that says "Beaver Lake Access" (or similar) on the south side of Hwy 12.

So is this going to happen? I have never played boatball.

I am new to the Fayetteville area and would like to meet some local paddlers though. Will a Jackson Fun be a sufficient boat for boatball?

Okay I'm going to step in here and make an "executive decision" for the group.

There will be no boatball this coming Tuesday, July 6. Play will resume on Tuesday, July 13 at new location to be announced before then.

Everybody have a fun & safe 4th of July holiday!
