To Hang, or Not To Hang??

I hang my canoe. I screwed in 4 BIG eye hooks into the rafters(two on each end) and then thread my boat straps through the hooks. I leave them hanging and then place the canoe upside down in the cradle. I just walk in one end and there is enough slack to slide the other end in. Then I just pull on each strap and it raises it straight up. Cheap and easy. We are able to park under without it being in the way.
