Kayak transport systems question

Post by Charityn9 » Fri Jun 04, 2010 7:45 am

Does anyone know if yakima's kayak stacker works ok for transporting recreational kayaks? I need to transport two kayaks on my rack and am looking for the most affordable system. Any recommendations?

I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work with rec boats. I frequently haul up to 4 open canoes on their sides using kayak stackers.

I haul 3 yaks using Yakima bars and a Thule stacker with no problems. Been doing it over 3 years now. Jeremy at OOO can fix you up.

Exhibit A: Four Jackson Riviera sit-on-tops plus a Villain S (far side). Stackers are immediately behind the boat closest to you.

OOO is Ouachita Outdoor Outfitters:

And Jeremy is just Jeremy, but anyone there can fix you right up. They's good people!
