West Fork Watershed Celebration and Creek Cleanup JUNE 5TH

Post by Half Ton » Mon May 03, 2010 8:30 pm

Bring your boat if you want to float or drag a stretch of this creek, that is a boatball mecca, to help clean it up on Saturday June 5th.

About 8 or so til 12 or so and then Food and Door Prizes.

Help support the West Fork Watershed Alliance and Beaver Lake Watershed Group and help keep our drinking water clean.

I will buy a Keg of Beer of Choice for whoever removes the metal bridge from this creek

Would love to help, especially considering my proximity, but I will be on the Mulberry helping some folks with disabilities get some river time. Again, anyone willing to loan or pilot a raft would be helpful.

x2 on the giant steel bridge that couldn't.

GAWD! I just saw that it is June, not May. Not having the best morning today. I shouldn't be allowed to post :hammer: :hammer:

I should be there on JUNE 5th.

Better make it a plasma torch, U will see why when I post the pic. This bridge is worth some serious$$$ on the metal market.

Howard - I am glad you can make it, and I am glad it did not interfere with the other event on the Mulberry. Damn Droughts!!!

Oh Yeah -

If anyone would like to be a cleanup site leader, hang out at an ACC display, come to the cleanup to clean designated trash spots, or bring a boat to float or float/drag a stretch......

Bring it

It is from 8-11 with food and door prizes from 11 to 12 at the West Fork Riverside Park.

Last year the ACC and some other boaters pulled out way more trash than anyone else. Way to go !

Come on out and participate again this year if you get the chance !

Ok - so the big bridge is being claimed by a landowner and some metal recovery folk, which means I can't spring for that keg for you there Jermdog.

But the cleanup is on tomorrow and if any one wants to float-drag either one of two 1.5 mile stretches just know that we can provide a shuttle person to get your shuttle set.

I encourage you to bring it on out if you are in town don't have much else to do and ever drink from or recreate on the West Fork.
