Ty- If you have to buy your son a new PFD, look at a women's model if he is short waisted. They are shorter in the torso and will probably fit him better until he gets that growing spurt for height that youngsters get. Have heard 3 or 4 folks say now that they are more comfortable, and Susan swears by hers saying she never knew a PFD could fit so well, and that is after her having sewn 2 of them from scratch back in the 80's from Harishock kits. Susan got one from LL.Bean that she likes and it seemed reasonable at $59.
