Many thanks to Richard for putting together a wonderful weekend on the Buffalo River. It was great to catch up with old friends and the meals at the Ozark Cafe were pretty good as well. My son, Michael, and I thoroughly enjoyed the two days of paddling.

What a marvelous weekend on the Buffalo. Had the privilege of paddling with Painterbob twice (including an exciting, pushy Boxley-Ponca run @ 4" airspace); enjoying supper and a campfire with Richard; seeing the spectacle of mega bumper boats, paddling great water with the ultimate scenery. And of course renewing existing friendships while making new ones and pigging out at the Ozark Cafe. The whole experience was energizing and well worth getting home in La. at 2:00 am after leaving Jasper at 7:00 pm. Got to rescue a few boats, even more gear, and plenty of beer. LMAO!!

Thanks to all who were there (Minna, Beth, Zachary, Gary, Karla, Prarietater and grandsons, Mike Beebe & son) and to ACC legends Painterbob and Richard for including us all!!

We went front Ponca to Hasty in our two days, and it was amazing the number of people trying to launch at Ponca and Steel Creek. We shoved off at 10:35 from Ponca and had to loaded up in the little creek that runs into river because it was so crowded. It wasn't too bad on the river, but I really don't know how I was able to find a parking spot at Ponca. The line at Lost Valley Canoe was all the way outside when we got our shuttle. The water was great though! Every other time we have been we have drug a lot because "ample for floating" levels.

Sometimes being on the Buffalo can be really tiring . . .
