Found: Tealish Color Chatooga Canoe

Yeah, I found this canoe in sad shape on the west fork of the white river yesterday.

The section of river is from the low water bridge in westfork to hwy 71 in greenland.

The canoe was not salvaged as it was ripped into 2 pieces :cry: .....niether of which would have even made a decent bookshelf or something of the like.

I just thought the owner (if he reads this), for sentimental reasons, might want know where the pieces currently lay. The first piece is about a half mile from the put in and the other half is resnagged about another mile down.

I am not the owner, but I am impressed with the power of the water.

No matter what the brand, the force to tear a canoe in half has to be pretty much up there.

Goes to show how strong the rivers we run get in high water!

Really :!: The last flood was a coulpe of weeks ago and the West Fork of White was running 24-5-6 ft :shock: .

i mean, I wonder how the captain of the craft fared after capsizing :?: i guess he/she/they made it to an eddy and crawled out ok otherwise there would have been another search and rescue.
