Lost special paddle--wooden custom made

Post by Dave Redmon » Fri Apr 24, 2015 7:20 pm

Lost Thu 23 Apr 2015 at S Curve on the Mulberry River 1-2 miles downriver from Highway 23 bridge--between Wayfarers and Big Eddy. Custom-made paddle with stamped ID "Made by R. B. Hayes 1987" high on the handle. Broad blade with slightly bent shaft and T handle. Gift to me from the maker, who won several Mulberry Canoe Races in the 1980s while in his late 60s and early 70s. R. B. died in 1993 at age 80 and I was lucky to inherit this paddle, one of half a dozen he made from scratch. Please notify me and leave paddle with management of the Turner Bend Store & Outfitter. Reward for return.

I say, and I intend it emphatically, let the river be.
