Jim,

I'm a little confused about the meeting spot. Are ya'll meeting at the rockport ledge play spot boat ramp? Or is there a boat ramp at the upstream put-in? I know where the ledge is where everyone plays, but I have never been to the put-in. Are you meeting at the upstream put-in spot or the ledge take-out? If someone can clarify AND I can walk in the morning after too many "weekend warrior" activities (smile) I may meet ya'll before noon. Thanks for any info! Cindy

The boat ramp at the take out (rockport) is the meeting place Cindy.

Sig,

I would be glad to bring the trailer if it is needed. If Paul might want to blow-up his raft at the take-out and set it on there, and others with kayaks, canoes, and so forth, that might need a lift to the top, then I think that would be a good idea, otherwise, I wasn't planning on bringing it. I can get all of the boats on the trailer/truck but only four extra persons in the cab besides me driving and Miss Marlo.Several others in the bed of the truck are fine as long as they are adults or older teenagers, older than thirteen I believe. I will check back later this evening maybe, or in the morning to see what we need, and what the plan is.
Lee,
I think we'll be meeting at noon. If you are later, we'll enjoy meeting with you on the river if you catch up with our group, and I would certainly be pleased to assist' if' I see you later on, and you need a ride back to your vehicle.

Best Regards
Jim

Paul's raft is already inflated and will be on a rack on his Tacoma. I'm speaking for him now but suspect he'll have room for a kayak or two in the bed. Unless I have some last minute joiners I invited but haven't heard from I'll be in my Expedition by myself with only one lonesome canoe on top, so I'll have room for paddlers and/or boats. I 'spect we can work it out. Glad to see some people I've been missing will be present tomorrow.
You come too.

That sounds like a plan Luke. I also can haul quite a bit of cargo and personnel in just the truck, so I think that will be good for tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Kim and I will be there with rec boats. She got a sweet Perception Swifty that is so easy and fun to paddle. She'll be thrilled that Gentleman Jim is in the mix. See y'all at Rockport at noon.

Great way to spend Memorial Day. On the water with friends old and new. If my count is right we had 17 in the group yesterday. Weather was great water was nice and cold. Not near as many people (goobers and tubers) as I expected though. Boaters had fun and tubers had fun. We did have some carnage at the ledge. I won't name any names; they know who they are. I will say that it was NOT my orange XP10 that was upside down. :kayak: HHH, "T-Bone" and Becca think we need to bring the church youth group up to go tubing. Speaking of "T-Bone" don't you just love it when your friends harass your daughter's boyfriend for you.
