BIG PINEY SATURDAY

Post by Deuce » Thu May 15, 2014 8:13 am

There will be a rolling gong show headed to the Big Piney from central Arkansaw Saturday. I expect ACCers from other parts of the Natural State will be in attendance as well, and rumor has it ARG plans to honor us with their presence, but I guess they're too cool to post something this early. If leading indicators are, well, any indication, there will be enough Royalex, polyethylene and PVC Saturday to alter the chemical composition of the water between Helton's and Long Pool for the next six weeks. I'll likely do my part to introduce lots of neoprene too. :wht: Plans will be posted as they materialize. Don't say you weren't warned; I mean invited.
You come too.

Hi Pam. Negative on the raft. I'll be canoeing, and I know Paul's raft is already full. Can't speak for anyone else.

ok I bought a raft from paddledog but havent taken it out yet. I have been in rafts before but always as a paddler, not a guide. If anyone wants to come on it in a raft with me, it can hold easily 4-6 people and I am sure with that many people we can get it down the river, especially if there are other rafts to help out So here is an invite to whoever wants to make a up a crew. If someone has experience as a guide I will gladly turn over the reigns...Pam Ellwood

The grass will keep growing but eventually Luke may stop being so entertaining.

I'm definitely interested in this float. I'd be in kayak, so I hope it's not just rafts. Also, I haven't been on the Piney for a long time, so I'd need some very specific info on how to find the put in spot, or a meeting place. I have a truck, so could easily carry one more kayak and paddler. I'm in Garfield (just north of Rogers), and could drive various routes there. Post meeting instructions, or PM me, or call/text 479-366-6379. I'm already loaded, as another trip fell thru.

I believe I'm a decent kayaker on Class II+, but my roll is still iffy. Might swim!?

Mrs. Deuce would tell you I stopped being entertaining about eighteen years ago. Wes, is that even a real question?

Henry, it won't just be rafts. I'll be in a canoe (when I'm not out of it) and I'm sure there will be other hard boats. Come on.
You come too.

OK count me in! I'll bring a sharp knife for rubber that gets in the way. Luke will always be entertaining. He's a two legged juke box.
