Mulberry Saturday 29 Mar or Sunday 30 Mar

Post by frythecompguy » Thu Mar 27, 2014 6:27 pm

Looking to float the Mulberry from at LEAST Mill creek to Bluff hole, but would prefer to do Cemetery to Mill Creek. That is about 13 miles. Would like to leave Fort Smith around 10:30 or 11:00. Can meet there also. I have a kayak, have paddled for 2 years, and am looking for a partner for either day. I would love to do both if the river is up. 2.7 right now, like at least 3.1.
My name is David, 52, good shape, and do not care who you are, just want to get on the water! I went last Sunday, 58 degrees and it was great at 3.1!.. LMK if you want to go and what day! Let's do this! Later taters!

Barry, I'm watching the radar and the gauges, and might be interested next Tues or Thurs. I'm an old hand at canoes, but only about a year in kayaks, so I'm limiting myself to Class I to II+. By the way, I'm a retired vol FF/EMT. Email me at hwgresham@gmail.com or call 479-366-6379 if things are really coming together for Tues / Thurs, and water levels are decent. Also, what section of the Mul'bry you interested in?

3.3 today. Ran Mill Creek to Bluff hole. Would like to try Cemetery to Mill Creek tomorrow. Anyone? I need a shuttle! Water was flowing, very little paddling, and it wasn't even that cold! Well,............

Fry- maybe we can catch you on a day other than Sunday, I look forward to it. Sounds like you have the fever, and I can definitely relate to that. We had a great group today, including another great open boater from Missouri named Stephanie who I had never met also. Big fun on Lower Mulberry! -M-
