From Little Rock you take Hwy 10 west to Williams Junction, then head south on Hwy 9. It will be a right turn onto Lake Winona Road. Water flows over the spillway at the 40ft mark http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?07362591" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I would use 40.4 as a minimal level to run this and I would call that fast II+. 40.6 to 40.8 is a good class III run and to me seems the optimal level. Above 40.8 it starts to get pushy in there. 41ft and above makes this a 1/4 long class IV rapid with a diagonal hydraulic forming on river left about halfway down the rapid. Just my opinion.

How often it can be paddled, like everything around here, is just rain dependent. Though there is no direct correlation, unless the lake has gotten really low, look for this to be running when the South Fourche Lafave is running. They're not too far apart.

Your best bet is to use the gauge above and scout from the river-left by trail before running.
