NW Boatball Wednesday in Clean Water (?)

Post by sugarmtngal » Sun Aug 17, 2008 5:14 pm

Hey let's have boatball as usual and somewhere in CLEAN WATER? Is that possible here in NW Arkansas  Elm Spring Lake was like a Sauna last time and very filthy............I didn't want to roll because of all the discussion on the bacteria..........stuff that shouldn't be there, etc.

Jacqueline, Kurt, Fish, Joey, Mel, David D., Jeremey, Lucas, and all the other dedicated players....... CAN WE HAVE BOATBALL THIS WEEK? - Eric may still be out of town, but MONTE NE would be a great choice! We need a vote :hammer:

(Hey Kurt I sent you a pm) :poke:

well, the west fork still has water in it. i'd be up for that this week but probably can't make it if it's further away. man! full time jobs suck!!!

we went paddling around lake fort smith today and it was quite nice with a bunch of coves and inlets to have some fantastic boatball but i know it's a far drive for all the northerners of washington county. maybe one weekend we can do a boatball day down there and picnic or something.

Alright, I'm taking a poll. Where can we play that people will actually show up? Attendance has been pretty bad lately, though we have had a lot of excited new players. Here are your choices, copy and post your vote here please:

1. West Fork Riverside Park (free)
2. Lake Elmdale (Springdale) (free)
3. Beaver Lake/Monte Ne (Rogers) (free)
4. Lake Fort Smith (south of Winslow) (free)
5. Lake Fayetteville ($6 per boat)
6. Lake Wedington ($3 per boat?)
7. Other: _________________________ (fill in the blank)

4. Lake Fort Smith (south of Winslow) (free)

I would love to start playing again. I've been working in South Fort Smith and it's tough to make it. Not saying that I will be able to make it, but I'm going to try this week. Lake Fort Smith would be great, but farther for the majority of people. It would be easy for me to make it there after a hour drive home and would be willing to go. Same goes for West Fork.
PS Better bring your a game, I'm well rested.

I work every other Wednesday including this coming one so don't make any plans around me. Having said that, I'm game anywhere but Lake Fayetteville.

Seeing as I'm now living in Fayettville (FINALLY!!!) I'm really wanting to play boatball with you guys. I wanted to last year but it was to much of a drive.
It could be worse, it could stop raining

I say west fork, but I don't even know if I'll be there. It's a busy week. The ankle is getting back up to par at least. I won't go to lake fayetteville unless we can cage fight the watchman and I'm a tight a** so no on wedington as well.

I know I am late for this poll...But chiming in anyway :poke:
I am willing to drive so the choices below are fine:
1. West Fork Riverside Park (free)
3. Beaver Lake/Monte Ne (Rogers) (free)
4. Lake Fort Smith (south of Winslow) (free)

The water in Lake Elmsdale seems to glow an odd lime green color...Very creepy! I am not keen on that water.
I don't really know about the two lakes below...However, I have heard others who haven't been crazy about Lake Fayetteville.
5. Lake Fayetteville ($6 per boat)
6. Lake Wedington ($3 per boat?)

Basically, this has been a long winded e-mail to say I'll be there; wherever "there" happens to be (not thrilled with Lake Elmsdale though).
See you Wednesday

NO WAY... The Giant!!
I am stoked.
It's like Christmas... I feel like I get to see my long lost brother!!

Dude, can't wait to play with ya.
Melanie and I will definitely be there!
I wanna leave this world the same way I came into it... naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood...

Looks like we'll have a good group there tomorrow. Full speed game for sure! I've been watching water polo in the Olympics and I've picked up a few new moves. Enter the butterfly!

Keep an eye on this board and the rain tomorrow. If it rains enough, we might have to move the game to Lee Creek again. :-)

Did you say Lee Creek! Goody I can practice side surfing again and jumping off of the rocks; maybe this time I'll fly off the bluffs like you and Wade did last time

I know for sure I will be there; so that is a solid vote, KURT! :D
Hey, where are we going after boatball? Sometimes this decision takes forever and ever..................Tai food - southside of town? Pizza at Tim's?

See you all there :poke:
