Inaugural Ozark Environmental Conversation

The inaugural Ozark Environmental Conversation on the topic of “The Benefits of Dam Removal and Stream Restoration” will be Tuesday, April 17, from 6 to 8 pm, at the Arvest Conference Room, North Main Street and Legion Lane, Bentonville, AR. Organized by The Friends of Little Sugar Creek and The Ozark Society Sugar Creek Chapter, speakers include Serena McClain, Director of River Restoration for American Rivers, Dr. Melissa Lombardi, Endangered Species Biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Darrell Bowman, Director of the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission. They will provide information about the safety, economic and environmental benefits of removal of obsolete dams and stream restoration. A kayak will be given away. The public is welcome.

The Arvest Conference Room is located on the back side of the Arvest Bank on the Bentonville Square.
