The Winter Board meeting will be held at Lake Fort Smith State Park near Mountainburg, AR. The Meeting will be held January 27th at 6 pm. All Members are invited to attend. We have the lodge reserved and can accommodate the first 28 members who request lodging.
Friday night we can check into the lodge starting at 4pm and will have an evening to relax and talk. If you arrive early, NW Arkansas has plenty of activities to enjoy. Bring your Boats, Bikes, Boots and Books.
Boating: Whitewater is rain dependent. The Siloam Springs Kayak park is 60 miles away. Recreational Boating is available on Lake Fort Smith or Beaver Lake is 60 miles away.
Bikes: Mountain Biking is available at numerous locations around Bentonville, Rogers, Fayetteville & Devils Den State Park 25 miles away. Road Bikes, Scenic Hwy 71 is 2 miles from the lodge and offers plenty of challenge in elevation gain & loss. The Razorback Greenway south terminus is in Fayetteville 40 miles away, North Terminus in Bentonville offers 30+ miles of paved biking trail with less elevation change.
Boots: The Western terminus of The 165 mile Ozark Highlands Trail is in Lake Fort Smith Park. Devils Den also has great hiking trails.
Books. The Lodge has a great room with a fireplace. If the weather is not within your personal outdoor fun zone, then we will have a fire in the fireplace. Bring a comfortable chair and relax.

Saturday we will have a Pot Luck dinner at 6 pm. Bring a dish to eat and share with others. Email Kurt Otto what you are bringing and that list will be shared with attendees so that we have a well-rounded meal. The Lodge has a kitchen. It is a small kitchen so cooking and prep is best done in advance.
Sunday, Check out at 10 with the lodge cleaned and put back in order. Take another hike, bike ride or spin on the kayak park wave.
