What's the level?

Post by bart » Wed Dec 28, 2016 9:45 pm

Does anyone know what the level of the Buffalo has to be around Woolum to be able to ford the river and drive to the other side near Richland? I have done it before but don't remember what the level was.

Thanks!

I've seen it forded at the level it is now. Kind of depends how the river has rearranged the gravel at the ford and how particular you are with your vehicle.

Crossed it a few weeks ago in a Tacoma. There are two places to cross and both were shallow. The sand on the Richland side will be the bigger issue but still not bad. Don't know if I would cross Richland again. It was deeper than what appeared

I suppose the Richland crossing and the Woolum crossing are the only two ways to drive to that area? I agree, Richland seems pretty deep.
