Level 5 SWR advanced tactics course. Dec.10-11 Rockport

Hi Folks,
We are offering a two day Level 5 Advanced Swiftwater Rescue Course at Rockport, on the Ouachita River, Dec.10-11, 2016
The L-5 course requires that you have taken a Level 4 course (or equivalent) previously, as the L-5 program is taught as a succeeding course, and we will be reinforcing what you learned in L-4 and then adding a LOT of additional skills.
The L-5 course focuses on problem solving. We will do numerous scenarios in the river, setting up all sorts of real life problems. Gear pins, entrapments, injuries, unconscious/weak swimmers, extractions from sieves and strainers etc..
You will find yourself challenged repeatedly over the two days, and at the end of the course, your ability to act quickly and decisively when problems arrive will be greatly enhanced.
Our courses bring you the opportunity to learn from highly experienced instructors that paddle and teach internationally, and we focus on what you actually need to know, instead of what you don't... NO FLUFF, just hands on learning at it's finest.
What makes this location work so well for this course? In one word, WATER! (and lots of it!!) We love using this site because it enables us to teach in realistic conditions.We base at "Porter Fields" which is on the river right side of the Rockport Ledge. This gives us access to the river with no additional driving. By learning these skills in an actual whitewater environment, you can be confident that they will work for you when you actually need them.
The cost for this course is 135.00 which includes free camping on-site thanks to the City of Malvern.
