UALR pool - 2/3 YES, 2/6 YES

Post by rouble » Tue Feb 02, 2016 9:07 am

The pool is open both days this week!

Wednesday 6 - 8
Saturday 12 - 5:30

Be sure to rinse your boat out before you come since they don't have hose on site any more.

UALR pool - 2/10 YES, 2/13 NO

Post by rouble » Mon Feb 08, 2016 10:12 am

Wednesday: 6-8
Saturday: CLOSED

We'll be supplying the pool with a new hose this week, but go ahead and wash your boats before you come in case you get there before the hose does.

David, I'll be there tonight, though I'm not sure how much help I'll be since I'm still fairly new to kayaking.

As a very general rule of thumb, I think your chances of finding help are best on Wednesday nights. There are of course exceptions, and just asking (as you did) improves the chance that someone might drop by to help you if they aren't already planning to be out on the water or in the woods somewhere.

OK, thanks Cowper,

I stopped by from 2-2:30 didn't see anyone so I left. I least I know where to go now. May check it out on a Wednesday as you recommended. I have a sit in Kayak I want to learn how to roll but need a spotter for safety reasons. Thanks again. :D

UALR pool hours - 2/24 YES, 2/27 YES

Post by rouble » Mon Feb 22, 2016 10:15 am

Wednesday 6-8pm
Saturday 2-5pm

Just a reminder - swimmers have the right of way, please do not cross occupied lanes.

We now have a hose at the pool to use to wash our boats. It's located on the wall just past the diving boards. The last person to leave should make sure it's coiled up and back in its place.

And the first person there should uncoil it to outside the door for others to use!

 Thanks to whoever managed to get a hose back at the pool!

UALR pool hours - 3/2 YES, 3/5 YES

Post by rouble » Mon Feb 29, 2016 10:25 am

Wednesday 6-8pm
Saturday 2-5pm

I hope everyone got some time on the water over the weekend, be sure to get all that dirt out of your boats before you put them in the pool though!

We found out last week that we aren't allowed to cross occupied lanes at all now, even if you're being extra careful the lifeguards will get on to you for it.

The forecast is showing storms all day Wednesday so the pool may be closed due to thunder storms.

Was the date on this supposed to be the 9th, and not the 7th?
