Kings River status

Post by fettsway » Mon Jun 15, 2015 4:36 pm

Hey guys, I have not been on here in a some time. I couldn't find the Kings River gauge on the site, maybe there isn't/never was one?

I heard much more rain is expected by weeks end. But wanted to know if anyone had knowledge about the level and conditions from Marshall Ford to Trigger Gap or Marble to Marshall Ford ?

Thanks!

Trigger gap guage was going up. Does that mean the whole river? What's the best guage for "upper- upper"? -M- Thanks

i've heard that people use the Ponca gage on the buffalo to determine if the kings is good from the Marble/Kingston Area...
If the upper buffalo is going then that section should be good.
Not sure how to gage the class 3/4 upper upper section of the kings...

There is no upper Kings gage, but Ernie at Kings River Outfitters usually has someone check and the bubba stick measurement is pretty reliable.

kings river at berryville guage is a good measure several days after a rain event. i like 4 to upper 4's for marshall put in. rockhouse to 62 3.5 is doable.
