My husband and I are going to go to the UALR pool this coming Wed and would like help learning how to roll our kayaks. Any one out there going to be there?

Assuming Aly posts that the session is a go this week, I'll be there and I know of at least a couple others planning to be there, and we'd be glad to help you all out.

Cheers,
Heather (aka Lupe)

UALR is closed on Monday (MLK Day) so it'll be Tuesday at the earliest that Aly can find out about pool access.

Aly says she emailed the pool guy late this afternoon and will post up when she hears back from him.

Yes, we can use the pool this evening (six to eight) and Saturday (two to five.)

Sorry for the delay in posting - the Monday holiday threw me off this week!

Never been to ULAR. Any helpful hints on where to park / where is the pool?
Thank you
Erik

I THINK this link will take you to a page on the website with a map of campus, showing the pool and the parking spot.

http://www.arkansascanoeclub.com/page-490025" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Let me give you one 'edit,' though. The map shows that you should park in a metered lot. Student parking is in Lot 2, which is closer to the pool. If the gate to Lot 2 is open, you're welcome to park there. It's much easier to carry a boat and gear from Lot 2!

One other tidbit is that UALR has put security gates on most campus entrances, so although the map might appear to show multiple routes to Lot 2, you need to turn on University Drive off of University Avenue - all other entrances will be blocked by gates.
