I've had quite the year, stretching my personal limits and trying to develop new skills as I went!
This is what I have tackled in Arkansas and a trip to Colorado by kayak or raft!

Cadron
Dragover
Cossatot
Buffalo (ponca-pruitt)
Mulberry
Dierks
Rockport

Arkansas River-
Brown's Canyon
Fractions
Town run

2014 was a great year for me, got my first ! whitewater boat in April, a Dagger Genesis, put bags and a pump in it. Went to Rec school, learned a few things.
Personal firsts are limited to The Spring River and The Cossatot in a Shredder with Monica Winter, although I walked the falls.
Buffalo X2
Probably 10 Remmel to Rockport runs
Several days playing at Rockport
4 or 5 Little Missouri Narrows to Murfreesboro
4 or 5 Little Maumelle trips
Swamp firsts are Wattensaw and Grassy Lake
Bayou De View
Apple Lake/ Hickson Lake
That's all I can think of at the moment.
My resolution for 2015 is to keep a log and paddle 250 miles, as well as go to WW School.

22 paddle days in Ecuador
A week in Mexico
A day in Italy
Plus paddled in some US states- Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, TN, NC, Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Kansas
WTF Lorraine? Are you a full-time sponsored paddler now? Geez, that's a paddling dream year for a midwesterner. Holy crap, 30 days outside of the US? Plus 9 states! And most of that in Ecuador, a place I've only dreamed of ever since hearing the Dave "Ghost" Reid call it "the best place I've ever paddled."

Where in Italy did you paddle? Corsica (sorta French-ish but also Italian) has been on my list since I started paddling. One of these days... You are now my paddling idol.

And I just noticed on your list the Santa Maria in Mexico... you paddled like 3 of my top 5 bucket list paddling places. In one year. Wow.

I'll look forward to a year like that someday. I've had some really good ones before. 2014 was only a handful of paddling days for me, but I made 'em count. Boated all the way to spectacular boat destruction in CO this summer and then got one day on Osage... but it was one of the best days. Osage is Arkansas' Santa Maria.

WHAT'D YA PADDLE IN 2014

Post by sig » Mon Jan 26, 2015 12:02 pm

We three Sigs did a wide variety of paddling last year though we all wished for more.

2014 brought us up to a lifetime (since 2012) of ~50 streams each.

We played with kayaks, canoes, SUP's, and rafts. No drift boats yet!

ps - That hours column is crap. I don't write that down consistently. PFD = personal first descent.

Nicely done, Bryan. Thanks to everyone who shared their list. I always enjoy seeing these, keeps me motivated. Of course, LOVING TO PADDLE keeps me motivated too.

Glad you clarified. I thought you were only claiming trips during which you wore your PFDs. :poke2:

I caught crap in a PM for not wearing a life jacket more often so I figured I should clarify.
