What time you going? I'll be there later. Text me 479-549-7096

Heard the water is "near" the cement island, and was OVER it this morning. :)

Report from Rich:
The water was 4.3 feet this morning. By contrast, it's been running well below 2.5 feet on average. Last night it got between 2.6 and 3 feet. The walkway is the cement path that takes you down to the river. Usually you step on two boulders to cross over to the island and upper wave. This morning you couldn't see those boulders, and you couldn't get within 8 feet of the end of the walkway because water was pouring across it.

It was great today! 3.8 when I arrived 3.4 when I left. Top wave and hole behind it were so much fun. Bottom wave was gone.

Rob I'll bb tomorrow probably late morning early afternoon. You?

Let me know what you see today. I'm waiting for that second wave to start feeling 'cuddly' again. Last night she was a mean one, no? :box:

Should be a perfect level today. Right around 3 feet is perfect for the top feature- spins and back surfs galore. Unfortunately I can't be there till tomorrow....

She dropped out fast, no? I was surprised to see the gauge spike and drop so quickly.

She likes to crest slow and drop fast. The lower is even more extreme in that regard. Might check levels for a 'rec boat' cruise on the lower this weekend. :canoe:

...or if it keeps raining...I might just keep embarrassing myself on that Ford waterfall. Dang, that was fun! My first 'boof' in the kiddie pool! If only I had a picture. :D

Alright, who broke the ford? I just got back. There is a breaking pile in the middle of the top wave with a green wave on either side. I've never seen it before at any level. Definitely something different. It made carving back and forth impossible. I hope it's just temporary. -M-

yeah it definitely sounds like something is on top of the concrete forming that top wave, or perhaps a rock has moved down stream and become stuck in the center of the top of the drop?

Mike...are you sure 'those type' of boats are made to "carve"?

The top wave was perfect this evening . River left part of the wave was smooth & easy to surf. Starting from the middle to river right the wave was breaking back on its self . Which made for awesome surf. Bottom wave was great, the wave was big , fast & fun . How lucky we are to have such a great waves all summer long !!!!!! :kayak:
