Anyone who can take a photo of Kenny Pearson and me and make us both look good has a special talent
Hope to see you with a paddle in one hand and a camera in the other soon.

I stopped by St. Vincent on the way home from work yesterday only to discover that Tom was ... gone. He was not in his room. Then I looked out the window (I swear I'm not making this up):

A nurse came by and said he had been discharged. I assume that meant he had been discharged in a good way.

I'm sure Tom is young enough to have a full and speedy recovery. I know this because we were born on the very same day.

Tom was a Quack Head before he was a single blader!

Hope you're recovering comfortably Tom!

The good side of that photo is:

looks like that is a SUV not a ambulance or worse hearse

looks like that SUV has a roof rack (wish it was a boaters rack but a factory one does work)

Tom, best wishes for a speedy get well and see you on the water soon.

dave

PS: Tom is also a rafter!!!!

Thanks for the well wishes. I am home in Fort Smith recovering looking forward to attending canoe school. I will not be teaching for obvious reasons but will find something to do.

Tom - Just heard about your surgery, so I'm glad to hear your home and going to the Canoe School. I have a
Herniated disc that is keeping me off the river and I hate it. I retired two years ago and threw my back out
immediately. I'm contemplating back surgery, but really don't want to do it. However, if I ever want to paddle
again I may have to do it. You're so brave to go thru surgery and be ready to go again. Just wanted to let you
know that everybody at the BCCC have been thinking of you. Sorry for all the gaps, I have a new Tablet and
it's harder to type on than a keyboard.

Larry - thanks for letting us know and Tom - our best wishes for a fast recovery. We need the "man that wrote the book" back on the water!
