NW Chapter Roll Session, 1-11-14

Post by kru1 » Wed Jan 08, 2014 10:29 am

Our second of 5 roll sessions will be held this Saturday from 8:30-11:00am at the Jones Family Center indoor pool. The best place to park and access the pool is in the back/west parking lot (look at the satellite image on gmaps). There is a $5.00 suggested donation to those who are not yet members of the ACC.

This is a great opportunity to learn or practice your roll in a controlled environment. There are usually plenty of people to assist those who may need it. Sometimes there is even extra gear to try or borrow.

Please remember to rinse your boats & gear before you get in the pool.

I know that weather may be an issue on Saturday, but for now please post up if you plan on attending.

Might try to double dip tomorrow if some of the local creeks are running. Roll session followed by an afternoon float. Pretty sure that the West Fork will be up and that is my goal unless Clear jumps up (don't think that it will). Anyone else interested?

Someone left their sprayskirt at the roll session today 1-11-14 at the Jones center. Call me at 479-721-9101 or email me at spesche@aol.com to identify it and I will try to get it back to you or you can wait until the next roll session and I will bring it with me then.

Another great turn out. Saw over 25 boats at one time, and a lot of people along the side lines.

There were more participants then there was instructional help. Would love to see more of our instructors help out, thanks to those who have. We've had big water for both of our roll sessions, kinda makes it hard and understandable.

Next one is scheduled for the 25th, hope to see you there.
