I hiked it over a year ago and haven't had the chance to paddle "Creek C" yet. Photos:

The creek is not far from Glenwood. The first photo is from the first quarter mile; the gradient (50 feet per mile) drops off after that to a moderate 30 feet per mile. I expect the water to be low, but passable in the first half mile. Lots of ledges and good scenery. Class II+. Just 5 miles long, but the shuttle is pretty long due to locked timber company woods surround the creek. A GPS and walking shoes might be something you will want in your boat in case of emergency so you can walk out on the maze of timber roads.
I need some company in order to paddle this creek. My plan will be to meet in Glenwood at 9:00 a.m. and proceed from there. If you are coming from the southwest we could pick you up in Kirby or somewhere else that is convenient.
NO TRIP WITHOUT MORE PADDLERS. POST HERE.

I forgot to mention that the weather forecast for the area is sunny with a high of 80.
I also forgot to mention that this may be a first descent, if there are still any unpaddled creeks in Arkansas.
The shuttle looks to be 18 miles, 16 on pavement.

Re: WANT TO PADDLE NEW CREEK C, SW OF GLENWOOD, SUNDAY 6/2/1
The drainage area has just come out from under the training storms. It's only 3 square miles, with 2 of those in very steep, rocky mountains that will drain quickly, so I'm certain the water will not be too high on Sunday. Other stuff may be to high for me until Monday.
I'll check back here about 6:00 a.m. to see if anyone else is interested in paddling this creek.

Beautiful creek! Wish I had the kind of boat to run it! Y'all have fun. Hope to see lots of video footage. If it ends up being shown at ACC meeting, I hope to know about it and show up; it's been a long time.
p.s. Why is it that I wait for months and months for rivers to come up on a weekend . . . then on weekends when I'm free to paddle, everything's freakin' flooded . . . and set to hit perfect levels again during the work week?
