Central AR fisherman?

Post by jreddig » Mon May 21, 2012 9:49 pm

Just curious who on here kayak fishes the central AR area and what rivers? Thought this might be a good way to meet a new person that likes to fish the area? Its sometimes nice to have another person for shuttles, advice, tips, etc.

I don't live there now (SE Ark), but grew up in NLR, and am in the area (Mayflower/Cabot/Levy) monthly visiting family. I will fish just about anywhere (frequent Conway, Brewer, Ozarks)...I'm alway's looking for someone to fish with, shuttle, or fish new areas...the main reason I got a kayak was b/c I hate fishing from my 17 foot alum boat alone. So with all that said...I do!

PW, I'm a Dogtowner, and my mother grew up in Smackover. My grandmother and aunt live in El Dorado. Love to meet up with you some time. Maybe it will rain again some day and we can get in a float.
You come too.

Sounds like a plan. I'll let you know when I'm up there again and we'll do it...maybe the 1st and/or 2nd weekend in June. I sure wish it would rain...I've only gotten to fish the ozarks once this year and already having withdrawls. If you're ever down here let me know.

Grew up in El Dorado and knew some Smackover folks back in the day! Just a note, sometimes the best fishing comes from wading!! Gonna chase some smallies this weekend.

Only thing better than chasing the smallies is catching them!

I'm in Little Rock right now, and the Little Maumelle has quickly turned into one of my favorite fishing spots. I'm always game to head out there when I'm not working. Send me a PM sometime if you want to head out there or elsewhere.
