2022 NW Chapter meetings

Post by StephB » Thu Jan 27, 2022 9:19 pm

Happy 2022 and hopefully a year filled with lots of fun paddling adventures!

The January monthly meeting will be on Monday, the 31st at 7pm. We will be meeting virtually this month via Zoom, due to the cold weather and current spike in covid cases.

This month, we will be taking nominations for our chapter board positions (President, Vice President, and Treasurer). Anyone interested is welcome to join the meeting, but must be a member to nominate someone or to be nominated to a position. Additionally, join the meeting to meet other members, learn about new club updates, upcoming training opportunities and share your paddle trip reports. We look forward to seeing you there!

The link to join the meeting will be posted in a comment below, shortly before the meeting begins.

Our March monthly meeting will be Monday, March 28th, at 7pm, at the Don Tyson Park pavilion in Springdale. In Google maps, search "Rotary Adventure Park" in Springdale. The main playground/pavilion is where the pin rests, which is off 48th Street, across from the St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

This will be an outdoor meeting at (or near) the park pavilion. Please bring your own picnic dinner and chair/blanket to sit on. We are still looking for passionate candidates to fill our open NW Chapter President and VP positions. Anyone interested should please contact Eli for more information. Upcoming events and training opportunities will also be shared at the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!

We ask that everyone follow the CDC COVID-19 safety guidelines and be respectful of others. Current guidelines may be found here:

The June monthly meeting will be held on Monday, June 27th at 7pm, at Whole Hog Cafe in Fayetteville, AR. This meeting we will discuss plans for our chapter meetings and float schedule for the upcoming year. This includes reviewing results from the survey that was emailed out to the club. We would also love to hear about trip reports from all of our floats! Meeting will also include our Treasurer’s report.

We will have a recap on 2022 School of River Paddling!! Thanks to the Frontier Chapter for organizing this event!

This will be an indoor meeting with food and beverages available to order. We have the back room reserved for our meeting.

Since last month's meeting, Jerrid Gelinas and Lief Kindberg have been elected as new leadership of the NW Chapter as President and Vice President, respectively. This will be our first meeting with our new leadership and we hope that you will join us in welcoming them this month.
