Michael, tragic is right. From what I've read, specific information as to how it happened is still incomplete. They released a picture of the boy, Evan Thomas, on one of our local on-line papers. In the picture he is holding fins and a mask. It's hard to accept.

The drowning victim's name was Evan Thomas. He was 16 years old and from Siloam Springs. Because he loved to recreate on rivers, he was one of us. Rest in peace, Evan.

In all the years that I've lived near this creek, I don't think I've ever seen 10 people at once floating this stretch of Little Sugar Creek. It is about time! Thank you ACC.

That rain last night helped lift Little Sugar Creek to a good level. This should be a good float!
