Re: RICHLAND CREEK CAMPGROUND CLOSED TEMPORARILY
As of a week ago the berm which blocked the bridge was removed and the campground appeared to be open although some of the closed signs were still up. Several signs had been taken down, so the signs left up may have just been an oversight. We were able to drive across the campground bridge all the w...

Re: AR Nature Conservancy Study
Yes, the Nature Conservancy is very much interested in Lee Creek. They are a great conservation organization and recognize the value of Arkansas streams. The Ozark Big Eared Bat lives in the upper Lee Creek valley and TNC has aquired some land there for its protection. The bat depends on insects who...

The scientist who commented about filtration is Dr Robert Cross and I think that getting him on the record again is a good idea. It is time we confront River Valley Water District with reality.

You certainly have a right to be proud in more ways than one! Craig is an excellent young man. Congrats on the Big Piney solo. He is also going to make an excellent open boater. As for keeping him away from Cowper, I understand, but you are on your own.

Re: What is an ERW?
Here is an excerpt from my last ERW update. Regulation 2 is the one that deals with all things ERW. You can see a complete copy of it on ADEQ's site. It was recently changed to provide a process to remove and a process to add ERWs. That is the subject of the up date below. Both processes set a very ...

I will see about sending some stickers to both the NW chapter and the RV chapter. It would be great to see these stickers everywhere! The Corp of Engineers has received 400K to study the dam. We are now waiting for the next move. There was a discussion of this here: http://www.arkansascanoeclub.com/...
