Re: Newbie with I am sure the same old question

Miquel, if you're referring to our conversation I was talking about the Prospector. I definitely think it's worth a look but I agree $900 is a bit high considering the aforementioned issue. Glad you're passing on the Discovery. I don't think you would have been happy with it. I still think if you d...

Re: Newbie with I am sure the same old question

It looks like I will pass on the Discovery. Another member on here pointed out it had wear through to the foam in an unusual area, and at that price I feel it should be mint. So I am going to keep looking. Combining the wear, general opinion there are better options, and the price being on the highe...

Re: Newbie with I am sure the same old question

Understood. IMO the Discovery isn't worth $700 and probably wouldn't meet your needs. If you do decide you like something that's too far from Springfield you'll quickly discover there are options for getting boats hither and yon. Just sayin'...........

Re: Little Missouri Friday July 21

Hi y'all, new to forum. Is this float appropriate for a young (15) floater new to kayaking? She's floated the Dragover twice, the lake twice, and the Caddo once. Water level for river trips was @ minimum float-able level. She has a 10' Pelican sit-in kayak. You-tube videos showing floaters with hel...

Re: Boat trade ins

Ozark Mountain Trading Company definitely does and I suspect Ouachita Outdoor Outfitters does as well. OMTC probably has a slightly better selection of fishing boats but you really can't go wrong with either. They're both very good to the paddling community and the ACC and will take good care of you.

Re: Any interest in having some pool sessions in Fairfield Bay?

I know there is interest, but most of those interested probably won't see this post. Unfortunately we just don't get the traffic on the message board that we once did. I'd suggest putting something on our FB page, and I also recommend reaching out to a guy named Jeff Gannon. I'll send you his email ...

Bell Prodigy

Near immaculate Bell Prodigy available. Will have it at WW School this weekend. It'll be used in a class but will be otherwise available for demo and inspection. Super nice boat that's suitable for a small to medium paddler at just about any skill level, and it's purty! $1k takes it home S...

Howdy! I'm not Gordon (he wishes!) but I can point you in the right direction. If you haven't already, read through this. http://arkansascanoeclub.com/page-577443 If your questions aren't answered therein you can contact the head honcho, Diane Massey. Her contact info is in the event page.

Re: Helton's Farm Big Piney access?

Not positive, but I think Moore may be collecting the fee now. That may only be if you use them for shuttle, but I'd suggest stopping in to ask. In any case, launching is still permitted there.
