Prodigy EXP
Hey Linda! Friend Connie (Paddlegal) has one W/O the access hatch. At any rate, this boat has preformed well for her on numerous Caddo and Ouachita trips as well as the flat water trips we've made together. I would recommend you also take a look at the Dagger Approach 10', I like it's construction a...

Bungies
B.F. OOO in Hot Springs has the bungie cord in bulk, they also carry the plastic loops to run the cord through. You can find just the right sized stanless steel nuts and screws to attach the loops at a store like Hm Depot. To add another suggestion; Instead of tying a 'big ole knot', I like to use t...

Mountain Surf Clothing
I stopped by River Tech in Russellville several years ago and bought myself some Mountain Surf fleece tops. I have dearly loved these tops and have about worn holes in them. Naturally, when I find something I really like, the company either goes out of business or changes the style. Does anyone know...

Glacier Gloves
I bought Marlo a pair of Glacier gloves for Christmas, after reading how well some of you like them, they seem to be as nice as you said. I did pick the fold back style since Marlo is a fisherwoman :) The thumb and index finger have a split down about an inch and a half, this should work well for ro...

Fishing
My preference is ultra-lite tackle too. Although my fishing gear, should it break or malfunction on the river, would never cause me the problems clothing or boating gear could, I like to go with about the best I can carry. On the more dedicated fishing trips, we commonly carry two or three rigs apie...

Camping 101
As they so eloquently said in one of my 'British Comedy's', several years ago, "why that's a load of poopy-pops".

Gear Bags
Being the fisherman that I am... I failed to mention the fatal 'magnetism' that fishing lures and mesh bags have for one another. It's bad behavior at it's best
This leads back to the discussion or river knives and their utility :)

Gear Bag
That NRS gear bag is good-looking, more functional, and surely better constructed, I'll have to put one on my Christmas list. :) I haven't had any problems with the laundry bags from Wal-Mart. To be fair, I seldom use the single strap on them, rather just cinch the drawstrings, grab the top and fois...

Gear Bag
I don't usually advocate the purchase of anything from Wal-Mart, however they do have a bag that has both 'fit the bill' and remained sturdy over the years of use and abuse. They have a large black mesh bag made of nylon, with straps and draw cords. Not in Sporting Goods, rather in the Laundry Dept....
