Re: Democrat-Gazette Pics Of Mulberry float 5-21
The pictures were associated directly with an article that Buddy Gough did with Mike Peerson and I on the Mulberry River last Monday. Buddy was at Canoe School to do an article about the School and with the wash out, his article was very limited. He did go to Shores Lake on Saturday of Canoe School ...

Sorry Tommy, you are correct the trail I was referring to is on river left, I must have been sleep walking when I wrote that!
I really wish the FS would at least open Richland Campground for day use, so that boaters and hikers could use the lower area. At least that makes sense to me.

Re: Warning! Dangerous sieve on Frog Bayou
Thanks for all the good comments on this situation. I really felt it was important to share this accident to alert the paddling community of the potential problems that exist at this rapid. Mike, your points about the rating are well taken. The potential penalty is certainly more than class II. At h...

Warning! Dangerous sieve on Frog Bayou
Last Saturday (2-14-09) was a perfect day to run the classic “Lancaster to Rudy Run” on Frog Bayou . The water level was 3.4 on the Rudy gauge with clear skies and the temperature predicted to reach the mid 50’s. I have made this run close to 100 times, and I have never known there was a sieve or da...
